Here are two post-processing options for a shot I took this week. I am still learning as far as post-processing goes, and would appreciate any feedback.

FYI - This is the main harbour in St. John, US Virgin Islands. The island on the horizon is St. Thomas.

personally I love the warmth of the 1st one! I sure wish I was there sailing to cinnamon bay! Beautiful shot BTW!

That's my brother's harbor, LOL. The first one for sure. But the foreground in both looks a little murky; maybe do a little levels work there?

I really like the first one. It looks more natural. I like that the sunset colors the sky. I also agree with bear_music's comment on doing a little levels work on the foreground.

Very nice picture and place. Wish I could be there.

Have to agree with the first posters, the first one portrays the warmth of the sunset. The second just feels a little cold.

(What were you going for?)

Definitely like the first one the best.

Ok I guess I will have to be the one to disagree, I prefer the cool blue colors in the second photo. I also find the dark shadows more pleasing with that color scheme. You could leave the colors as they are in the second photo and not do any levels adjustments.

Thanks for the feedback. I may see what I can do with levels. If somebody wants to take a shot at it, feel free.

Thanks.
