This is the first time i go to a Skate Park. The cement looks too bright. I guess with a Polarizing filter may help but this filters are not suitable for sports and accion pics. Or it's the 'natural' look?

I shot it with a Film 35mm Nikon N65

I dont know how your camera is but I underexpose -2/3 in digital and it comes out pretty good, also make sure to meter off the sunny part of the cement that should give you a reading to make it 18% gray.

You can use the same techniques you'd use for snow, although those usually involve overexposure to keep the snow white.

A higher shutter speed wil give you better stop-action and lower the exposure (given the same aperture), and darken the concrete.

I used Photoshop to darken a little bit.

1)I made a seletion with the Magic Wand.
2) then I played with the curves. Values input 194 ouput 117
3) this is the result:

Before Curves

After Curves

4) Are there some perfect values? it takes time to make adjustments judging by the eye

Depending on the colour tone of the concrete you may be able to use the grey point dropper.
