Does the title have to consist *only* of the year, or can it be a specific date and explanation, as long as it includes the year?
If the former, I'll withdraw my entry. |

Good question. I have more than the year in my title. Good luck. :0) |

It says should be the year. If your title has the year and a brief and preferrably clever or witty explanation, it should be fine. Go for it.

I was curious about this too and got one emphatic answer to my question. I think I agree that it should only be a date. I'll go with only a date in mine, and, though I hope it is relativly explanitory, anybody who wants to know a little more can Google the date and find out what was going on.

Hrm. I'm kind of intrigued by a challenge in which photojournalistic-style entries might do well, so I guess I'll let mine stand, though as always I'm a little leery. |

I went with the year only...for now. Might have to change it to the year and a brief title before voting starts. I can hear the comments on both sides. "What the hell happen in 19XX 1" or "Your title should only include the year 1". It's a roll of the dice.

Could it be an abreviation of the year? Like instead of 1978, it could just be '78? But then again, that might mean 1878 to some...
BTW, I think your title should be okay as long as it has the year in it. But I don't usually look at titles much anyway:-P
