I have a table I use for studio shots, and behind that I have a baker's rack. The rack has 4 or 5 shelves. (I forget and I'm not home) I use hair clips to clip fabric as a backdrop, and I clip on my lights to the shelves. Makeshift for sure, but it's a start. I also use the shelves for storing my backdrops and props...tehehe...that rhymes...lol.
Maybe from home I'll post a picture of my setup. Would like to see others too.

Here is one of my pictures I took with 2 clamp lights with 60 watt bulbs.

HERE is another one I used the same setup for.

Comments appreciated! :-)

Grayce, these are very well executed shots. If I had to choose, I prefer the first photograph's deeper colours.

I spent a lot of Saturday playing with minimalist "studio" setups and haven't got it right yet. The results you and others have achieved with little equipment keeps me inspired to continue trying.

Grayce,
Very nice pictures, I like the second one the best. You have great composition and the lighting works well with the subjects. Good stuff with minimal equipment. Your "studio" sounds a lot like mine, but the results are a lot better.

Oh by the way, I thought your bottle caps should have done a lot better.
Keep Shootin'

Damn---- Forgot to put in the subject, again----
