made a quick attempt in PS to move to black and white and tried to incorporate some of the techniques i've been reading about on various threads. i took about 100 shots and will post more late but love any comments if you have time ~thanks J

What an amazing black and white conversion!

It lets the viewer focus in on her face and her expression as opposed to the colors of the vails and the wall. The background is a tad distracting in my opinion... Maybe a tighter crop?

Well done and wonderful smile!

The color one is a little dark and kind of flat-looking, but the B&W one.. wow! it's great. Beautiful.

Hope you don't mind...but, you have such a great B&W, I did this. I opened the color and BW versions. Shift drug the BW onto the top of the color. Set the BW layer to Luminosity. Opacity to 75%. Dropped the BW layer contrast down -5. Flattened the image, then adjusted the images Contrast down another -5. GIves it a touch more "pop!"

As I look at it again...the colors may need adjusting too, to how you would see fit (ie: reality-as you were there). (C:

The color one is nice, but that BW is great.
