Post your best and most creative sunset photograph this week. All or a portion of the sun must be within the image.

I think Zoomdak would win. :)

Haha! I didn't think of that. For sure this would be a Zoomdak favorite.

Not sure whether you are suggesting a challenge or asking for pics. Let me be the first to supply one (although I know there are others on this site that will absolutely toast anything I have to offer)!

Either would be fine, but as this is the challenge suggestion forum, I was making a suggestion.

Edit: Fantastic shot! Great colors and the flare is a nice touch.

Heh, silly me.

I read the text of your original message and didn't realize you were simply suggesting text for a future challenge!

This is an old one but you can just see the sun :) does that count

I can see the fighting start already:

"The sun's too far from the horizon, it's not quite a sunset..." and "Looks more like a dawn than a sunset to me..." and "I can't see any actual sun in this one, that's a refractive artifact from the sun below the horizon..."

For sure, the challenge should be named "Sunrise/Sunset" or somesuch.

Robt.

And it must state the minimum diameter of the sun (in pixels), and the minimum viewable percentage of the sun, to ensure creative license is not misused.

I think if this were an Open Challenge we would have more than 1000 entries! Imagine trying to vote on that!

I'd rather eat dead mice covered in tacks.

We haven't had many good sunsets recently so this is an old one from about a month ago.

Tried to capture a sunset at the beach this weekend. People kept walking in front of the camera. So I took a series of silhouettes.

My camera doesn't do very well in low light, and they are very noisy.

Critiques or Comments are welcome, though.
