Thanks to all who gave me such great comments for this photo. They were all helpful. I was a little disappointed with the final score, 5.369. There were 40 people who felt it was only worth a 3 or less, but hey, you can't please everybody.

Also I was happy to see a few of my favorites made the top ten. Great job!

I knew I would get low votes, but I didn't care. I thought it was forkin funny.

Did better than I thought it would. Figured not many people would understand why I thought these were obsolete.

fotolady and esdarby: I didn't get to vote on your photos (trying to avoid the coting fatigue from doing to many to quick) but I like both your pictures!

ohmygoodness. i JUST figured out that it was a bald man (you?) in the background. i looked at it again b/c of this post, read other comments and put it together with your title. before that, i was mystified. it was too fuzzy for me to make out at first and i was only seeing the white parts of him. sorry i didn't see it.

edit to add: you?

I didn't vote on all the pictures either, too many entries! Yours was also one I did not vote on, I think that it is great, I would have voted it a 8

Congrats arnit

Listen up people , I'm not much of a good photographer or anything .. but at least I know a good photograph when I see one , even the same photographer could do better.

If theres a dpchallenge cabal, I want in.

I made my entry knowing that it would get hammered, but still hoping to score close to a 5. Alas, no such luck :0] The idea behind the photo is that the use of animals as beasts of burden is obsolete in much of the world and becoming moreso. And you know what? I don't think this guy minds that one bit! Thanks for the votes, whether high or low, and the comments good or bad, and most especially, for the fav @:o)

4N4M-

I liked the idea of your photo, if you could have showed younger donkeys/mules in the photo somewhere it may have had more impact, but I realize this is difficult to arrange. Keep submitting, keep challenging yourself. And remember. You never know what people will find appealing.

Here was my entry. 33rd place and quite an honor. My best placement so far.

Here is an outtake. I actually like this one better. Closer and the daises are more obvious. If anyone wants a print or 800x600 desktop wallpaper let me know.

Truer words are seldom found on dpc:)

And congrats on your high finish, Kelly! Very deserved.
