I have nothing better to do for the next 3 days then to critique some photographs :)

My portfolio seems to go unnoticed by most DPC'ers so I want to trade a in depth critique on some of my pictures for the same on yours.

I am not looking for snappy comments like "nice" I want to learn more about photography and I am looking for real critique from interested people and I am willing to do the same in return, I am a student in photography and I have finished my 3 years of art study at college, but one can always learn more.. I have never gotten any ribbons so I really need to learn more about what DPC'ers think about my pictures and what can be improved to make it a ribbon winner :)

my portfolio

if you want critique an some special photo then please post a thumbnail here, if I can pick the photo then just say so :)

with hope of many indepth critiques

edit for typos

thanx, I just went through some of yours, very interesting images in your portfolio, I really liked you abstracts even though I did not comment on them.. hard to comment on images like that, when you don't know the story behind the image :)

went through your portfolio and commented on a few pics, you might want to create folders and categorize your pictures for easy access, like "landscape" "people" and such :)

many nice pictures there, just hard to find in all the chaos :)

Been in again and left a couple for you to ponder .

Posted a couple, DanSig. I like the wildlife folder. What's up with ducks & geese? It looks like geese are always frowning and ducks smiling! :)

I'll probly comment on a few more. Pick anything in my portfolio except the goofy photoshop stuff. :)

Would love to have a critique on this one. Was going to be a possible Metal challenge entry but did not get the chance to enter.
Taken @ full 200mm zoom handheld.

OK, left you a few comments. I always try to be objective as possible, so my apologies in advance that I didn't leave behind a wash of "Oh wow" notes (they don't seem to be that useful anyway).

Kelliloo, I critiqued a few of yours as well. I gotta say (redundantly, I suppose, since I already said this a couple times on your photos) that you deserve a camera upgrade! I think you have a great eye for fantastic shots, and your camera just isn't doing any justice to your skill.

Thank you dahkota and DanSig for your comments. I have left both of you a comment. I am going to try to implement both of your ideas and recommendations on "The Fountain" photograph and see if it looks better. I will post after I get it done. Again thanks for the comments.

Thanks aboutimage....I think you may be right...I am yearning for the day I can get something that also has the EXIF thingy so I can not only take better pics but also enter some challenges...I feel incomplete right now. It make take me a long while to save up....maybe next tax time will be the time...=)
