Would love to know what you all think. i took these a few years ago. Am going back to the butterfly place soon and would love to get some tips on improvement. Thanks!

The second one is my favorite. I like the depth of field; It draws my attention to the foreground butterfly, but leaves good context of surroundings and second butterfly.
I enjoyed the composition of your first, but it just isn't sharp enough. It looks like a focus problem more than a sharpening adjustment.

i went and looked at ur other posted photos and i have to say i like this one best. also i like the second one posted in here for the same reasons as cghubbell

The second one is very nice! Maybe you can work with dodge and burn in ps. Good work bye |

Hi Annee - Hope you don't mind...I added a minor pop in contrast (+7), dropped brightness (-2), and minor noise reduction to these. The contrast was the first thing that came to mind when I saw them. Nice compositions by the way...I like them both.
I'll be dragging a camera along to Lake Winnipesaukee (sp?) this summer for family vacation (I noticed you're from my wife's home town). Beautiful country in your neck of the woods! ;^)

I actually just moved to Salem in September. My finacee and I bought our first house. I am originally from MA. Work in Boston in fact. I love the lake, we are up there a lot, fiancee is a BIG fisherman! lol |

You can't go to that lake and NOT fish! We usually rent a little rowboat for the week...
