Now that I have a new zoom lense, I am finding I can take shots I never could before. Here are a couple I took of the moon tonight, the one with the plane passing by is kinda neat, your thoughts and opinions are always welcome and appreciated.

The second one seems a little out of focus. The first one with the plane is supercool. A frameworthy shot for sure. Good work.

wow, the first one is incredible, how the heck did you do that? i can't figure out how you got that kind of detail with the moon and yet not that close to the plane. |

Very nice for handheld. Shows for sure why a tripod is a necessity for these types of shots though. Congrats on the plane shot. I've been waiting for an opportunity to shoot one of those. Take a look at the Astronomy Picture of the Day from a few days ago. Very cool.

excelent shot of the moon and plane. I have been trying to get one like that for years, but no luck for me.
the second one is a littel oof, could be camera shake or too short an exposure.
shooting the moon can be real fun.

That first shot is just a wonderful shot... what are the odds of getting a shot like that... Wonderful stuff...
I am wondering why can't i get so close with my 75-300mm?
Was the moon in a special position or were you in a special position?
I would like to know this since i can't get that close... Even with a 100% crop the image doesn't stay so clear.
Once again wonderful shot the first one... the second one i have to agree that it is out of focus but hand held is just great.

No special position, just looked up through the lense, hand held and got lucky to see what I did, just one of those moments. |

"But you got really close to the moon..."
My canon 90-300mm seems not be so close to it. :)
