Hey guys! Long time to talk. Well, I haven't particpated in a challenge in a long time... but thats simply because i haven't had the time. Anyway.. i'm gonna start participating again.. hopefully starting this weekend (going to the zoo.. wee! animal photos!)

So as the topic says.. I'd like some critiques. I tried going to photosig, but it's tempermental and won't let me play with it, so i gave up.

Here's two photos I'd like you guys to check out.. let me know what you think. They were taken quickly, so it was really just "omg thats cool *snap*" not a lot of thought went into positioning myself, settings, etc.

Thanks bunches guys!

Glad to "see" you Jen!

1) Interesting take: you have succeeded in defining the emotion in the statue. She seems a bit upset about the growth all over her.

2) Love the abstract!!! Great movement, colors, leading lines... interesting to look at.

Yes nice to see ya back again.
I like #1. I'm guessing she had ivy or something growing on her at one time. Maybe you could reshoot when there are a few leaves. Still I like it interesting.
#2 is a good abstract. Make that one a poster(print) it would sell.

Hi Jenguin :)

I like both of these shots... the color in the second one is really vibrant...

On the first shot, I think there are a couple things you may wanna try out to see the results... The tonal range on it may be a little flat for my personal taste... u may wanna play around with the levels and contrast a little to bring it out... it would also make a nice black and white I think :)

Hey Jen,
I was just looking at a comment you gave me on one of my photos. It is good to have you back. I was wondering where you've been.

The first one is kind of freaky looking. I like it. It has charactor.

The second one I feel is a little to grainy. The colors are good and the lighting is excellent. Have you tried neatimage? That might take some of the graineness out.

They are both cool shots.
Welcome back!!!
Sonja
