Maybe in a near future! I asked for a thicker outline thinking of that!

Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark!

Wheres the artwork / graphic you had for it? Can you post that?
04/22/2005 07:18:24 PM · #6
Hey it turned out real cool!! Congratulations!!
Personally - I wouldn't color it in. I like the way the letters came out. But I would get the outlines just a bit thicker.
Wait a few months to let it completely heal and then get those outlines thicker. Don't mess with it before it is completely healed or else it'll become yellow :-/

You sissy!! ;-)

The outline is the worst part, the coloring isn't quite as painful. But then again, that's a large sensative area, so it'll probably hurt like a bitch. Congrats, and let's see it when it's colored in.

Euh, your tattoo artist made a spelling error. kidding. Congrats, I bet it hurt like a biatch

I've made it myself on corel draw. Had a font from the net and then worked on it a bit! It was quite simple.

I'm thinking of leaving it like that! And believe me, it's really thicker than it looks like. He used 7 needles.

Nearly passing out? Holey moley! Very nice tattoo. I heard that on new tattoos sometimes the skin peels off leaving an impression of the tattoo!

Best thing, the payment. I'll be working on some images for him, some of his new tattoos (by him I mean my friend that did it). Doing some stuff on PS. And I got it free of charge! :-)

Way to go Scuds - I was going to suggest you do it yourself using a mirror, but it might not have come out as well...

LOL... great tatt.... when i was having my second tatt done up on the gold coast ( it took three hours ), a young male came in to get his done and got a few lines of a dragon done and then chickend out....!!!! he then looked at me and asked was it hurting , i said ' Mate, i've had three kids with no drugs, of course it bloody hurts !!!....... but the stupid side of my brain is telling me it's all worth it....!!!..... not sure if he ever finished that tatt, i would love to know.....!
and yes they are all worth it, wanting my third at the moment, but getting the right design is the killer.......
great work Scuds..... you did good !!!!

Ouch! Great spot for the pain! It will be worth it in the long run! I have done and gotton tatts for a while now, and you at least need it shaded, if not colored. You got lucky too, cause the 7's don't hurt as bad as the mag 12's!!! Kudos to you!

I'm up to 8 tats now. More to come.

I am still planning mine... I was going to get it for my 35th birthday but I'm about 6 months late. Oh well, it gives me time to keep changing my mind about the design.

That looks like it hurt SOOOOO bad. Yikes! But it is very cool. :o)

Nice one, Scuds! Of course, that's going to look even better next week.

And I had forgotten about your tattoo talk, Laurie. Think you might decide on a design before 36 comes around? ;-)

I have five, myself. They're addictive, I tell ya! The one on my lower back (a downward facing dragon) is my favorite. Starts at my butt and goes up my spine.

Nice, bet it took them a little while.

I have 2 tats myself. The one on my spine hurt the worst!

I like it - way to go! I have a Wurlitzer jukebox tattoed by a shoulderblade. I didn't really think it hurt. Just laid on my stomach and relaxed about two hours while the artist did the work. I have a smaller one on my thigh (peppers - gee thats a surprise) that felt a little more tender when it was being done.

Let me see if I got it right? Doing it on me, by myself? Hahahah that would be like a circus act! LoL

BTW, thank you all guys, I think it turned out to look very good! And for free, c'mon! Couldn't be any better!
This guy is a really good friend of mine. I knew he would try to make it look as good as possible. That's the reason he won't be doing the coloring or shading. He knows I have very sensitive skin (I feel cold and hot like no other). That's y I passed out the last time. Sensitive skin allied to nervous factor!

My friend had one with a spelling error ("had" because he's dead now, not because of the tattoo) He had a circle that said "NOTHING" but the tattoo artist forgot the "h"... So the word "NOTING" ended up being tattooed on his arm... He had weird tattoos, like a TV test pattern on his other arm.

My tattoo, the artist made a small mistake, I have a Cancer crab surrounded by the lunar phase. I have one moon replaced with '74. The whole tattoo was drawn by myself exept that, I chose the fonts at the last minute. So anyways, the guy could not spell an apostrophe (in front of the 74) and made it upside down. I told him right away an apostrophe had the tail going down, not up. He argued that he had never seen an apostrophe with the tail down. "It's common in comma to have the tail down, but not an apostrophe". I think the reason he never saw an apostrophe is because he never saw a book... Anyways... He fixed it but now it's a bit bigger than it sould be.

Never trust a tattoo artist with the spelling.
