I'm wondering..... how many others have noticed the consistantly quality photos posted by some of DPC's younger photographers?
I am quite impressed ! Check out konador's work, or Maverick's. I have grandchildren their ages, and it makes me so happy to see these young people take such an interest in this site. These young people have talent and a whole lot more going for them!
I salute all our young photographers. You are the "Hope of the world".

Does that mean I have to start taking pictures again? :)

sgtpepper: You have a right to be proud. I have a 13 year old granddaughter that has entered also(Cuttin' Teeth..Wantin' Whopper). She used her little cousin as a "prop"!

I know I've been surprised when I go to a profile, and find they are so young. These kids will be successful in their lives, I'm sure!

well, guess i have to catch up to konador and Maverick (even though im proud to say my average is higher than Maverick's and im almost at konador's score average!lol) anyway, if there are any teens reading this go to the Teen Chat and talk to other teen DPCers. TEENS RULE lol!

You all should search the forums for the earlier threads concerning kids' participation here...ideas included having some special kids challenges or a separate (non-voting) site for them to share photos and ideas.

I haven't searched the database, but it's possible my son Isaac is the youngest submitter here so far...

I help him by cropping, adjusting, and uploading the files (he's 5-1/2 and just learning to read) but he holds and operates the camera himself...his best work is in some Portfolios at pBase.com.

Welcome to all the younger folks and/or parents -- it's a great thing to do together...

Cameo -- I would have never noticed that wonderful fact! Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I gave Konador my one and only 10 last time for Candid Encounter. Thanks again.

Meggie, I just looked over your profile and pictures. Not only are they very good, but I was impressed with the comments you have made. They are more mature than many of the adults. Keep up the good work! P.S. I especially liked your Pencil entry. Gave me a chuckle!

GeneralE, you have every right to be proud of Isaac. I would wager a bet that you two will never have a lack of communication as he grows, with an interest like photography in common. Keep the dialogue going!

joanns, does your daughter like photography too? Your picture "Perfecting Perfection" reminded me of one my daughter took of my granddaughter for the Transitions challenge, "3 2 13 in the blink of an eye". (It was # 51 or 52 I think, in case you want to look).

Autool - thanks you for the comments. I am the mom. Yes she is quite mature and very intelligent. Can I give myself a slight pat on the back? We both compete, but I do not help her at all with her entries, voting, or commenting. In fact I vote for hers the same as anyone else. Sometimes she doesn't even tell me her ideas! We are slightly competitive.....

Yes, isn't amazing how you can find something you love to do at any age? Now at their ages I would be out raising some hell and rebelling against my parents. Something constructive like these two brilliant photographers makes me encourage by today's youth. They have both have excelled at photography in a short time and I like both of their work and knowledge.
