I've tried some bird shots and I just cant get close enough even with my 300mm lens you almost need something like 500mm or 600mm to get a nice crisp shot without disturbing them.

I was using the Canon 200mm f2.8L.They were taken at quite a good distance and through a window! They are very skittish birds, any quick movement even behind windows and they are gone!

Must be all that spring in the air. Finally caught this pair snogging last week.

It is difinitely that time of year! There was a male in my front yard today, singing his heart out, but no female to be seen. He was too far away to even contemplate going for the camera, so I just enjoyed the song.

If she doesn't watch out, he's gonna flip her "the bird."

I caught this sequence on the same trip to the zoo that I took my infamous Polar Bear shot "I'll Still Respect You In The Morning...Honest!" for the "Best Friends" challenge. Spring was most definitely in the air!

That’s a really nice shot! The males seem quite good at offering seeds to their mates. It’s probably because they want to plant their seed, lol.
Chivalries not dead!
