Mountains of Western North Carolina. That officially makes me a hick. :-) But I don't mind!

To you Virginians (especially the ones in the east): have ya'll ever heard of a tiny town named Bumpass (pronounced Bump-us, by the way)? It's in Louisa (sp?) county, I think.

I'm from Wichita, Kansas. They call it "The air capitol of the world" because Boeing started a plant here back in WWII to buld B-52's. It's also the largest city in Kansas (pop. 350,000).

P.S. I don't think any of you guys have ever seen a place this flat!

I live in a small town called Augusta, Michigan. It's right between Kalamazoo (home of the Gibson Guitar and YES, there really is a kalamazoo) and Battle Creek (Home of Kellogg's cereal and subject of the movie Road To Wellville.)
About the only thing big we have in Augusta is the Fort Custer National Cemetary.

Darn close is right. Like 20 to 25 minutes. Hope the casino didn't rob you of all of your hard earned money!!!!!!!!! My best friend is from Bumpass (again, pronounced bump-us)! I imagine it is pronounced otherwise rather frequently. :-)

I live in Music City, Nashville, Tennessee. I've been here almost 10 years now and think it is the greatest place on earth!! The weather is great, the cost of living low and it is as friendly a place as they come. I always joke that the only way I'm leaving is in a pine box and I don't even want to leave then!!!!

I'm from Hickory, North Carolina... yes.. it's called Hickory cause there are a bunch of Hicks like me living here. I have lived here all my life and don't really care to move. It's not the end of the world, but I can see it from here, and that's close enuff.

Hickory is located in Western North Carolina in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hickory and the surrounding areas are the furniture capital of the third stone from the sun. Furniture and textiles thrive here and keep us happy with minimum wage work and long hours. There are not a lot of technology jobs around here but I managed to find one.

Honestly, I have travelled many miles on my current and previous jobs, and there aren't many places I would rather be... I do envy those of you in the pacific northwest though :)

I'm in San Jose, CA .. home of.. uh.. lotta geeks with a lotta cash ;) Ya know.. silicon valley.. etc. (i'm a geek with no cash just to clarify)

Sometimes i'm at my house in Modesto, CA ... Modesto, known for being the hometown of George Lucas, James Marsters (personal favorite, he's Spike on Buffy The Vampire Slayer -- he went to my high school! hehe), and the unfortunate story of Gary Condit and Chandra Levy (she went to my high school too).

so yah. That where I be.

EVERYONE knows this, but I'm in Perth, Western Australia. I was actually born in Canberra, the nation's capital, then lived in a couple of country towns (Bourke and Coonamble) before my family settled in Dubbo for the rest of my childhood. I then moved to Sydney for 4 years to go to UNSW, then came over here with my boyfriend/partner/whatever, who I'm still with 4.5 years later :)
