Had a great trip this past summer.... travelled through 21 of the states in the USA, as well as a few provinces in Canada. Left home June 1st and returned mid September.

Hoping to save up a few dollars and visit Australia & New Zealand, hopefully in the near future.

The girlfriend and I will finally go on the trip we've been planning for the last year: Southern France and Spain -- we're both very excited about it.

Eilat - the city of the red sea, Israel, is my vacation. and I take it whenever I'm feeling like going!! (or at least once a month!)

People around think I'm crazy. It's not quite common to take the car and do the 4 hours drive (each direction) and get back home at the same day, but doing so I save the hotels money for new lens. ~LOL~
Besides, I always return with tons of wonderful photos. What else do I need?

Man, I get nearly 8 weeks off in the summer and I doubt we go anywhere more exotic than MAYBE to take the kids to Yellowstone or Rocky Mountain National Park. I need to find the secret to independent wealth so I can finance my hobby, traveling, and still put food on the table! LOL ;o)

If you feel like a visit to Basel while you are in Switzerland we could meet up for a beer or two :)

I'm going to France for sure and maybe to Kenya or Germany. I will be going back to the states in Octber for a few days but that hardly qualifies as a vacation.

How far is Basel from Zurich (I am there for a week), as I always fancy a beer (do I need a loan to purchase them in Switzerland?)

As I can't leave the UK with my dog and I refuse to go on holiday without him ... Bonnie Scotland.

Our lives have been pretty much on hold for the last 3 years. I have been caring for and then lost both my parents. (my dad just passed away Feb.13) We are so ready to get the heck out of Dodge and are going on a 7 day cruise March 13. We are going to New Orleans for the weekend and then leaving on the cruise from there. The cruise goes to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozemel. I can't wait.

I have missed my photography and DPC the last 2 months. I plan to spend most of my vacation shooting pictures and drinking pina coladas. Hopefully I won't drink so much I can't see to take pictures. :)

We're trying to be good this year as we had an excessive year last year. We have one trip to Galapagos and Peru in April and another to Florida in November.

We'll likely do the annual week somewhere in the UK with our large uni gang of friends too.

Last year we spent maybe 17 weeks+ overseas (on holiday) so we're definitely not doing that this year!

I am off to Egypt (Luxor) on monday 28th Feb for a week. This will be our 4th visit to Egypt, twice to Luxor and once each to Cairo and Sharm-El-Sheikh. Then it's off to Turkey (Turunc) in June for a week, which will be our 3rd time to Turunc.

We just love Egypt, its amazing. Cairo has to be seen to be believed. Around 23 million live there. We spent a week there a couple of years ago and loved it, so much to see and the Egptian people are fantastic.

So I will be going from a snow covered UK with temps of -2/+3 Degrees to around 30 dec C. Cant Wait.
