You just want a brightly-lit closeup of a live flag? |
Yes but don't shoot yet.. I'll add you to the California slot and let you know next week if I need it. The states where I don't have photos still have one week. |
I have a couple of possible shots now if you end up needing one. |

Clarification:
I have volunteers for each of these states. The deadline for the project is February 28. On March 1, I will be replacing the volunteers who have not provided photos yet. The states listed in the first post of this thread are the states where I have not received photos yet. I have added some names of new volunteers by these states in the first post of this thread. I will be contacting those people if I need them on March 1. |

OK...
HERE is where we stand at the deadline for the 50 State Flag project. I have 32 out of the 50 flags. Those of you who asked to get involved in this project will be receiving a PM from me this evening with more information. In the cases where I had more than one person from a state to ask, the first one will be contacted. |

Darn - wish I had seen this thread sooner! If you still need Michigan by tomorrow night, let me know. But camera is smaller, may not produce the quality the other are. Kathy |

I can do a Michigan one if it's still needed. I forgot there's one on a pole at the building next door to mine.

Ohio
quick question - As an alternate, I'm not sure if this has been covered before.
What kind of post processing are we doing to these?
Is it okay to touch up the tattered edges or do I still have time to search for another flag...buy one if I have to....pour some concrete...set the pole...pray for another blue sky day.... :D

Marj, I did quite a bit of post-processing on my NY flag. I'm sure John will give the authoritative reply, but..., as I understand this project, we're not constrained by DPC rules. Regarding your Ohio flag, however, I think it looks great as it is here, - tattered edges and all.

I never heard back if you needed a Michigan or not. The other Michigan volunteer did send me a message saying for me to do it. Do you still need it? I think I finally got a satisfactory one today. :)

This is not a DPC challenge - there are no rules!
My pic of the PA flag could be better in one regard - the darned thing was wrapped around the pole. I didn't go to quite the trouble of planting a pole, but the first few places i wanted to go they took teh flags down for the winter!
