Seems that when you change your signature it is only updated in new posts/ Previous posts retain the old sig.

Seems to be there should be an option to update all old posts with the nre sig or just generate the sig dynamically in the first place so it is always up to date.

No...sometimes a later post refers to a signature. For example, If I say "Hey, cool quote from HCB" then you go and change it...I'll look like an idiot later!

And we don't want that...

Personally I would not want my previous signatures to change either. Not only because I am currently using mine to show a running total for the charity project I'm running (with DPCPrints help) but also because I like to see people's changing signatures - the different quotes and ideas they put into them over time.

Could be just me though!

Then how about two sigs, one that is 'permanent' and one that you can change? You could switch either one 'off' if needed.

How about, the site admins have enough going on already.

Honestly? I think it would be excessive and don't quite see the point. But that's just me...
:o)

yea and I can't afford the second monitor I'd need to hook-up to view all the options people keep requesting. There are only so many check-boxes, icons, toolbars, and emoticons I can handle.
