When you click on a users name in dpchallenge.com you get their profile that has their submissions, etc. as well as the personal info and statement area. I'm wondering if something similar could be done for the DCPrints site. When you click on a users name in DCPrints to see all prints available I think that it would be nice to at least have an area where the user can put a message about the prints or him/herself instead of having to click multiple times to get to the DPC profile section. I would use it to post special info about all prints like contact info if you want to request borderless versions of an exsisting print or putting info about a sale period or something like that instead of having to put it in each print description as I've seen it done already. Does that make sense?

We weren't sure exactly what information you (the sellers) would want on there, so now's a great time to get your opinions in.

I think everything except name could be optional...

NAME/USERNAME
Location
Age
Gender
PM/Email address
-PHOTO-
Bio/comment area

I guess that's most of what's on the main profile page...but I'd be interested in posting/seeing that. I think I'm more likely to buy (or at least appreciate) something when I know a little bit about the artist, and can visualise an actual person making the photo, instead of the print just existing in isolation...

A way of selecting some prints to highlight.

Links to DPC profile, Portfolio and Personal Website, and a PM/Email link.

Yeah, that's about what I had in mind.

This too since there can eventually be a lot of prints for any given user and it could make for a long page (or multiple pages) for buyers to scroll through to find something they like.

Also, how about Forward/Back buttons? That way, when you browse and artist's gallery or a challenge/subject gallery it is possible to actually "browse" or scroll through, instead of having to return to the thumbnails page each time.
