A while ago JMSetzler started a thread about pictures that make ya say "what is it?" or something along those lines. Well here is one that I thought might puzzle a few of you. Take a look at THIS PHOTO

Fun! I missed John's original post, but I think "What is This?" would make a terrific challenge idea.
BTW, I really liked the way the canteloupe was framed in that shot.

I doesn't release steam and it doesn't hold a wristpin (that would be one small wristpin!). It sounds like you guys are thinking of trains and cars, but it's neither.
Any more guesses? |

i'm having trouble seeing the detail in this item.. It appears to have threads on the bottom of it, but it's dark and it's backlit... I can make out the details in the image :(
It could be a valve stem of some sort...

it looks so familiar to me, like i just had one in my hand..but can't remember what its for....i'll take a guess...a whistle?? I don't think i'm even close with that guess...what the hell is that thing!!! |

It's quite close to the picture I submitted for the texture challenge....So I'm guessing Glass. It actually looks like Hot Lava or liposuctioned fat cells....Close??
