Shoot anything mentioned in the song ...

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

Ed

PS. Yes, I am being slightly ironic. But it would still amke a good challenge, i think.

That's the song opening the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... What's the title of that song?

Uh? Er ... it's called, er ... 'My favourite things'.

And in a strong sense it isn't just from 'Fear and Loathing ...' I think that was an ironic use of it.

It's probably a kiddie song that every english speaking americans know. But being a French Canadian... I only heard it in the movie. I know a lot about american culture exept kid stuff, I found that out watching "Who wants to be a millionaire?"... A lot of the first cheap "obvious" questions seemed really hard for me... While I did well on the middle range difficulty questions...

It's from the 'Sound Of Music', with Julie Andrews!!

Is Fear and Loathing scary?? Nope...well Sound of Music is the ultimate horror movie!

Watch it, and have Nightmares, guys! Cos thats what will happen.

You mentioned my hero! I have every Alice Cooper album! I have bootleg and outtakes! Also, I didn't know that he said that.

Don't like Eyes of Alice much tho.

We'd have to include the Big Brovas version too:

[Intro]
Buy me diamonds and rubies
I'm crazy bout Bentley's
Gucci dresses and dropped up compressors
Wine me and dine me
Bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of our favourite things

[Chorus]
Buy me diamonds and rubies
I'm crazy bout Bentley's
Gucci dresses and dropped up compressors
Wine me and dine me
Bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of our favourite things

What I need is a gentleman
Who does the best he can
There to hold my hand
I want him to understand
Of course I want diamonds and expensive things
Cos a girl gotta have her favourite things

Oh that's what you like
Nice type of life
Platinum and ice
Not diamon ite
Well that's alright
You looking right
Ass kinda tight
Come spend the night
Role with the G
Oh we can B
Right you and me
Like fantasy
I'll make it real
So what the deal
Girl tell Randy just how you feel

[Chorus]
Buy me diamonds and rubies
I'm crazy bout Bentley's
Gucci dresses and dropped up compressors
Wine me and dine me
Bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of our favourite things

I would like a man who
Takes care of business
And still have the time to take me on a shopping spree
What's mine is yours abd what's yours is mine
With what we have let's put it together and we can shine

I know what you want and
I got what you need
I believe you should be rolling with me
I take your around out on the town
And show you the way that a baller gets down
Whenever you're ready girl, we can go now
And we can do things you don't even know how
I know that you know that I'm feeling your style
So tell me what to do just to make you go wild

[Chorus]
Buy me diamonds and rubies
I'm crazy bout Bentley's
Gucci dresses and dropped up compressors
Wine me and dine me
Bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of our favourite things

Let me tell you about D, its all about
Simplicity, easy to please
But I like expensive things
For me you can buy diamonds and pearls
Just some of the little things
I like in my world

So you like wining and dining and shining
Gliding and riding
Pushing them hot whips
Mummy come get with a real pimp
Its flossing Flawless honest
I'll make you a shopoholic
Buying you stuff until you vomit
Blowing chronic, hopping on it
Even if you didn't want it

[Chorus]
Buy me diamonds and rubies
I'm crazy bout Bentley's
Gucci dresses and dropped up compressors
Wine me and dine me
Bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of our favourite things

[Chorus]
Buy me diamonds and rubies
I'm crazy bout Bentley's
Gucci dresses and dropped up compressors
Wine me and dine me
Bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of our favourite things

No. Under no circumstances. Whatsoever. I mean - the original is so sickly it makes me feel ill, but that thing is beyond words. I don't care how ironic they thought they were being.

That's a very widely recorded song. When did "Sound of Music" come out? Jazz greats like Dave Brubeck and Charlie Byrd were recording it as early as the late 50's and early 60's, and there's a famous 25 minute live version by John Coltrane.

Christopher Plummer once said that working with JUlie Andrews was like being beaten to death with a valentine.

It's so funny that you suggested that. Just last weekend, I had that song in my head for two days, couldn't stop singing it, and I had that exact same thought. I think it would be a fun challenge.

Beer kegs and barmaids and shots of tequila
Drunkards and pool sharks with rings on their fingers
Chicks on karaoke who can't even sing
These are a few of my favorite things.

That is all.
