Post what you feel were underrated.

These were my favorites. I felt these should of scored higher. (Just an opinion)

I would like to have seen more high-key photos in the challenge. I think all of these were well done and underrated:

92nd place:
301st place:
404th place:

I think that translates to far too many, but there were a lot of entries.

92nd place:

Absolutely agree with you on this one being underrated, I gave it a 10 along with 3 other shots and I am very surprised to see this pretty close to my own shot, wich I felt was not as good as this one.

I was amazed how many photos that were out of focus or just snap shots got good scores. I think that when we judge photos you have to just on composition, lighting, focus, DOF, etc. Not if you like the subject or not.

Oh yeah, and the only photo I added as a favorite...

Hey, I just noticed something very interesting about the way the votes averaged out for my entry:

Avg (commenters): 7.500
Avg (camera): 6.171
Avg (no camera): 4.333

I completely applaud non-camera owners who vote, so please don't get me wrong, but I just find it interesting that the camera owners realized the positive elements about my photograph. Anyone else notice this trend? Or is it just applicable to flower photos which people assume are so easy to take?

(please, please, please, don't anyone get in a wad over this -- it's just an observation -- I think input by non-camera owners is very important feedback)

Must be just you :)
Avg (all users): 5.682
Avg (commenters): 6.500
Avg (camera): 5.681
Avg (no camera): 5.750

Based on the difference in the scores I'm guessing there were only 4 people with no camera that voted on mine though.

This is one that I really liked:

Just goes to show how diverse we all are. We're all opinionated and have our own perceptions of what's artistic (and whether or not it fits the challenge topic). Wow - do our opinions all differ! Sort of like studying philosophy - no right or wrong.

I had also noticed that on my entry. It was something like 4.5 for votes from non camera users. But its nothing I am gonna dwell on. Thats just the way it is.
