I have a new computer and I’m struggling with my uploads -
My Equipment is - Nikon, MacBook Pro M2, Western Digital EHD
I need to get my photos from my camera to my WD EHD - without using “Photos” on my computer - BC I just realized that my last upload got converted from RAW to JPEG BC I used Photos.
On my Windows computer - I could transfer straight from camera to EHD -
What am I missing???

I think you are missing a card reader, so you can just drag-and-drop the files from you card to the hard drive.
If your camera connects with USB and shows up as an attached drive, you should be able to do the same. |

| Try to use Image capture. You can drag an drop pics. You can use search loupe on top right corner, type Image capture/ I just tested with my GoPro and could see, drag and drop RAW file to my computer. |

Yep. I think the issue is that the Mac OS recognizes it as a camera, so is trying to be helpful by using it's photos app. Card readers are dirt cheap. |
