?

I assume that, now that they're up, they'll both stay?

They probably will now that someone has noticed and mentioned it. Somebody (not going to say who) was asleep at the wheel me thinks. ;-) (and no, it wasn't me).

They should just leave them both up but make one of them the Tuesday challenge but make it slightly longer time

That's a good idea. Not sure if that (date ranges) can be adjusted or not. Only the uber-Admins can schedule/update challenges.

The Uber-Admins have been switching challenge-scheduling duties every other Sunday night. This particular UA forgot that last night was a handover Sunday. I'll go fix it, but something different is planned for the next open challenge...

"Photography on the Edge" has now become an extra OPEN challenge, all DPCers may enter it. There will be another Open Challenge scheduled at the usual time, so this one's sort of a Christmas Blunder Gift :-)

Yeah -- I know that MarkWiley is trying to catch me in the points and ribbons race... I'm surprised one of the new ones isn't "Drone shots of Chicago"! ;P

I'm sure Mark would loan you his drone if you flew to Chicago for a couple days :-) He loaned ME a drone, which is how I got started...

I second the motion for the "Drone shots of Chicago" challenge. Wendy, I am so far in your rearview we could exclusively have drone challenges through the end of the year, and I am still not catching you.

However, if you would like to participate in the "Drone Loan" program, just send me your address. You might like it. It is a sincere offer.

Oh, take him UP on it. You won't regret it :-) I'm pretty sure Mark's talking about his backup drone, which is the one he sent me...

Are you really serious?

Are you really serious?

Of course he is. He's already done it with me... But be aware that once you fly it, there's no turning back...

Pm sent!

But this worries me - The only remote thing ever flew was my friends RC plane. He gave me the controls for about 30 seconds and then took it back when it started doing a nose dive...

These things are ridiculously easy to fly, safety redundancy up the wazoo. If you take your fingers off the joysticks, they park where they are and hover. They have a return-to-home button to bring them back. They have obstacle avoidance, so you can't run them into anything solid. Piece of cake.

Got the address, and I will get it packaged up. I think I have to go to the UPS store to send off Christmas gifts to out-of-town family later this week, so I should be able to get it headed to Virginia then.

I agree with Bear, drones are very easy to fly, I started only recently and have not crashed it yet! I just got DJI Mini III Pro and I love the improved resolution for still photography. The sensors annoy me a bit but I can switch them off ;)
