Thanks all :-)

Coming here has been quite good for me, i think. I didn't really know what i liked or wanted to evoke with my photography when i started here in 2010. After a few years, i think a few things clarified that has shaped how i photograph, edit and evaluate. i know my images aren't for everybody, but these days my submission criteria are far more selfish, and every comment is cherished too! :-)

Big fan. Among so many others, lately I've been enjoying your laundromat forays. Many happy returns.
Can I have your autograph?

I’m so glad you’re with us and going strong! Huge congrats on the 500! (even if you won’t write a Dpc score app for my smart watch!)

And, as for your work not being for everyone — that’s why it’s so important that you’re here. And that’s why I’m still here. I have learned so much and my tastes have expanded so much because of the people whose work isn’t for everyone. I don’t just look for things I like anymore. I look at each entry, wondering why it was entered. If I don’t care for it, what is it that I’m missing? I dig deeper than I ever thought I would, I still like pretty shiny things, but I also like blurry weird things. I see and appreciate textures and movement. I don’t just look, “I don’t get it”, so I don’t like it. If I don’t get it, I let my mind taste, touch. smell, explore. I may still not like it, but I’ve enjoyed the process. And when I do like it, I’m overjoyed at the discovery.

Viva la difference!
