Ha. Not that way. LOL

I mean - all of the fun validating afterwards when people forget that it's Minimal.
I prefer letting people read the statement that they check when submitting. I mean, you SHOULD be reading before selecting a checkbox, right?

It states:
"I submit that my entry was based on photograph(s) taken with a digital camera on or between Nov. 23rd 2022 and Dec. 6th 2022. If requested, I will provide the unedited, original file from my digital camera within 48 hours. I have followed the Minimal Editing rule set, taking into account any extra rules listed above.*"

I noticed it just before spending time editing. I do shoot RAW+JPG so could use something. But if I'd realized it at the time, I would have approached the subject differently.

It's right there on the front page.

Always read the fine print (said the guy that has multiple DQs/self DQs for failing to realize a challenge was Minimal editing).

Thanks for the heads up Tiberius.

I try to shoot (almost) every entry as if it's for Minimal -- usually requires less post-processing that way if for one of the other editing sets.

Fortunately(?) my camera only shoots JPEG, so I don't have to remember to not shoot RAW-only, though if I ever "upgrade" I'll probably leave it in RAW+(small)JPEG all the time.

It's amazing how much you can get away with with a big image file shot in RAW.

Jesus f-ing christ...

This place never runs minimal challenges... And I just slapped an entry in last second late last night.

13 years of working super hard to get no DQ's and now this.

Probably will be my final entry, because I'm just like that - once that red stripe shows up, I'll have zero pride or interest in this account going forward.

115 of them run over the history of DPC. Usually at least once a month, although none were scheduled in November (??? Hmm).

Embrace the red. It happens. Having it ruin 13 years because of an honest mistake sounds like a bigger mistake.

You CAN'T be serious. That's not the "roll with it and smile" Cory we all cherish. If you quit on us I'll hunt you down and.. and.. I'm not sure what but I'll think of something :-)

He does have a drone now, you know -- so Bear's hunting skills are much more serious...

Compound fractures from one-wheel failures won't keep you off that thing, but one DQ does it for DPC...?

Just self-DQ and there will be no evidence of your epic failure on this site.
