Does anyone know if it is possible to run the same app on iphone and ipad at the same time? I mean that ipad displays the same as iphone in real time? Like a slave.

I don't know how to do it, but I take it the idea is to control//trigger the phone's camera without having to hold/touch it? I'd be interested because I'm pretty hopeless trying to take pictures with a phone ... :-(

ETA: I just remembered I've seen an article on using an old phone as a security camera, using an app to run it from another phone -- I'll try to track it down ...

Thanks, John, as I understand it as long as the data is in the cloud you can access it using the same app on two devices, I will try it.

Do you mean to mirror your iPhone to an iPad?

Thanks, Tibby, this method would require both devices to use the same WiFi, it seems that there is no solution if there is no WiFi, just mobile network.

On my Android I also needed a wifi for an app to connect to my computer when I was out. What I did was to set up a wifi/hotspot on my phone, connect the computer to it and basically they were on the "same wifi". Could be worth trying.

My mobile provider does not allow hotspots, maybe time to change the provider. Thanks!

You don't really need the internet service through the hotspot. You can use the hotspot to just create a wifi network. Try on your iPhone to see if you can start a hotspot and if yes, internet service or not, connect your iPad. If that does not work I'm out of ideas. Cheers.
