By "downloading a still" from a movie -- I'm assuming it's legal (for this challenge) to do a screen capture of a particular scene of a movie? We don't have to dig through just the images that are out there, correct? I would be able to fast forward to a particular scene and do a screen capture for this challenge?

| Assuming is always risky, but in this case I would agree with your interpretation of the rule. |

"Legal"? I donno. But the internet is full of stuff like this so I have to assume nobody's gonna come after us :-) I'd probably steer clear of Disney movies though :-) |

| I have a serious problem with this challenge, especially from a photography site. Every photograph entered is a violation of copyright law. |

This is *probably* legal under the "fair use" doctrine as either criticism or parody.
It might not be legal to sell the resulting images though, especially for bulk items (cards, calendars, etc.) while the case for individual "fine art" prints is less clear. |

For what we're doing, "fair Use" should cover it. Absolutely nobody is gonna raise a fuss about this. |
