Help!! I have a photo on my phone, but it's 924kb and I can't enter it +it says it's to big. I don't know how to resize it on my phone (I'm afraid it would really degrade the quality.)

Any suggestions?

Thanks! (I can only do it from my phone, no wifi for my iPad.)

Thanks!

Not sure if this helps but on my Samsung Note 9 the size of the picture does not matter when uploaded directly from the phone. So I guess it may depend on the phone OS (ie iPhone or Android). DPC is resizing it automatically.

See here

Edit: it is worth mentioning that the photo was taken with my Canon 6D, transferred to my phone by wi-fi, processed with mobile (Android LR), saved to the device, then uploaded to DPC.

As Tiberius said, DPC will resize the photo automatically. However I find this only applies if the photo is more than 1200 pixels on the longer side. If it fits within the challenge size limits, however, images larger than 700KB will be rejected.

The same is true for photos uploaded from my PC.

I have an app on my Android phone called "Photo & Picture Resizer." Works as advertised.

Thanks all! I was able to get it to my son to resize and email it back to me.

However, the longer than 1200px on a side tip was really helpful! I knew that it had realized for me before, but couldn't figure out why it did sometimes and not other times. That makes sense now!

The biggest problem now is to figure out how to get photos from my iPad to my phone to upload when there's no Wi-Fi. We somehow managed to plug in my husband's phone to my iPad and accidentally managed to get the photo over to it. We couldn't reproduce it though. So neither of us have any idea how we got it there. It was going from an iPad to an Android so we were probably lucky that we could do it at all!
