Glad you asked! lol

I am off to see my daughter in Chicago area for Christmas, haven't seen her in a year. And doing a lot of cooking from what I can read of this laundry list of food required she has provided for me LOL

Say hi to Mark Wiley whilst you are there. He has an awesome new drone to check out :-)

Penelope and I are just staying home in the new digs and cooking a little rib roast for the two of us. I got her a cool jigsaw puzzle, but keep it under your hat, let's surprise her!

Yes, do say hi to Mark!
We're also staying near home, most of our family is local. Don't have a menu plan for Xmas dinner as yet, LOL. New Years Eve is definitely a rib roast, that's a must-do!

Trying to convince myself that owning a camera is still something I want.

Going to be a strange Christmas this year. Jesse's out working in Yellowstone and will be away for Christmas for the first time ever. Meggie wants to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with the fiance and ferrets. But we'll see her the 22-23.

Last year we didn't travel back to MN for the first time because of covid. We thought we were spending it here with the kids, so we said we weren't coming back this year.

So Jeff and I will have a quiet Christmas Eve and Christmas. I go back and forth between thinking it sounds very lonely and then quiet and restful.

Chicago! SO COLD!

One of our sons lives there in River North, but he will be here at our house (as all four of our "children" will be). Plus my mom and our daughter's... new FIANCE'!!

It will be a fun time, as usual. We're a lively bunch. LOL!

You're not paying close attention, bird-lady. We sold Harwich Port in July and moved to a new build townhome in a sweet little development a few miles off-cape, about 12 miles West of Plymouth, basically. Town called Carver, a right-to-farm community. A lovely change, the Cape was getting old after 20 years.

Here it is just before we moved in. We're in the group with no grass (at that time) and our unit is the one with the dumpster and the red SUV :-)

If it, you can give them to me and I'll love them as if they were my own :-)

Hosting the girl "kids" and their families this year, which will be awesome. I love Christmas with excited little kids, and we haven't had that in 3 years. It will be exhausting, but fun.

My son is going to visit his wife's family for the actual holiday, so they (he and his wife) are coming to see us this weekend, instead. With their dogs, because we don't have enough dogs LOL.

Nope, it's nigh impossible to have enough dogs!
We normally have two, but often three in the house, and on occasion five. Plus two cats.

... and we were getting old too and needed somewhere better suited to all that goes along with aging :-).

so your assignment is to get all the dogs in one photo.

Yeah, but Mary's dog equals 3 or anyone else's dogs. :)

More like six of my guys, LOL! I grew up around Irish Wolfhounds, my aunt & uncle had them. Fun dogs, very loving.

Small family gathering for both Christmas Eve and Day and then some quiet time with the wife and kids, looking forward to it.
