I once tasted innocent-looking Chinese carrot pieces in a clear fluid that looked like simple oil with vinegar but was so spicy that upon the first bite my mouth felt just like that critter's mouth looks in the video. Couldn't taste anything for almost a week.

No. What a stupid way to lose a drone AND add more fuel to the fire that drones need more regulation. Idiots.

No amount of regulation will keep sh*t like that from happening, just like no amount of regulation keeps humans from building illegal campfires in fire season :-(

The problem is, people like you, me, Lev, Mark, etc... that follow the rules, get caught up in the squeeze of new regulations that just pile on more restraints. The dingle-berries that pull crazy stunts won't care and keep on doing what they want, where they want. :-{

I guess my point is, this isn't a "drone issue", it's a "jackass issue". There already are laws in place protecting wildlife and so forth and so on. Does that make sense?

Actually … no. It IS a "drone issue" because of the "jackass issue". Because of actions like this the visibility of inappropriate drone use gets elevated with social media views, etc. This additional exposure does us (drone pilots operating legally) no favors at all. We're already fighting an uphill battle in how the public feels about drones in general.

Oh, I'm not denying THAT, Barry. I'm just kvetching about how that's not a rational response for the powers-that-be to engage in, something like that.
