As has already been determined, Bear has lived everywhere.

Bears like me like Big Trees. Fresno is the gateway city for Sequoia and Kings Canyon Nat'l Parks. If you have time, that's where you wanna go :-)

Not sure. I allowed 2 days for the job. If I can fix it in one day, I may have time for a sightseeing trip. Not counting on that, though.

Depending on what you are looking for there's the William Saroyan House Museum (2729 W Griffith Way, Fresno, CA, 93705). Another possibility is the Forestiere Underground Gardens (5021 W Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA, 93722). I used to live in Southern California (53 years). My brother lived in Clovis which is just north of Fresno. I fully concur with the recommendations for King's Canyon and Sequoia! The General Grant is well worth seeing!

Thanks. I already found mention of the underground gardens, but it appears to be closed when I would be able to go. I'll check out your other suggestions.
