Ok ... new thread for fun. Won't see a ton of action, but what the heck, why not?

I'm calling it "Just Right of Main Stage". It's for those 6th place finishes that come oh so close to making the front page. You always wonder when you have a semi-decent score if it's going to make it. Then after rollover you don't get that DPChallenge 'validation request' email, or see the red text on the front page. :-D

We have the tiny violin thread. This is similar.

Rather than backtrack I'll just start with this week (for me) - the 'Rorschach Blot Challenge'.

6th Place


Just because I didn't backtrack, doesn't mean that you can't if you like.

I can't believe I have nothing to show. I've got every position from 4 to 10 covered except for 6. No ribbons either!

Try harder! :-D Just kidding. Maybe this week will be the magic (shoot for the ribbon first).

My creativity has taken a bad knock since our first lockdown. That said my Symmetry entry is off to a good start. Not that 4 votes means much.

I am having zero motivation at the moment so maybe this is a good distraction. My comments on this image say it all:

Looking back this puzzles me but got rewarding comments and a blue hand



As to the Bear's placement...it can only be attributed perhaps to marking on a small monitor?

Only a few 6th places for me, but this is my favorite



Looking at my stats of place endings: place 39 seems to be my favorite, not starting a thread for that ;)

how timely i see this thread .. thanks for starting it Barry ..
of course when i enter an insect eating another insect it could put ppl off ..
but i went for it anyway .. ;)

Yowser! That's a tough one to score a 7+ and not make the front page. Certainly a lovely image. I remember when this icon used to get posted once in a while. :-)
