I've been having problems with the latest version of Photoshop. All of the sudden, I edit a photo, and the screen stays on that photo. Even if I close that window, I still see the photo. Going to a different photo won't change it. That photo stays there until I shut down the program.

Mine updated automatically two days ago and I tried for the first time today to bring a photo in to work on it. Couldn't even do that. Ended up uninstalling and, after trying a re-install of the new version, just went back to the previous version. Not what you wanted to hear, I'm sure - but just saying that something isn't working right on my end, either.

We checked all the computer specs and I'm fine there. I know not what I'm doing, but my husband does and he walked me through all the trouble shooting he could think of.

It's a bad problem but my computer won't even run photoshop for anything more than me resizing and exporting for a challenge so there could be worse things.

I haven't been taking many photos or doing much editing lately, but the last time I opened Photoshop my Nik plugins had disappeared. I guess I need to check what else has gone wrong.

You can find those under the "file>Automate" menu off the menu bar.

They're not there. I tried reinstalling and it will only add them to Bridge, but once installed they still don't work. Are you still using the free version of Nik or the newer one?

FWIW, normally when there is a major update, you will see a choice whether to uninstall the previous version. I normally uncheck this box, and in fact I believe it was unchecked by default on at least one of my two machines. I leave the previous version installed for a short time until I'm pretty sure the big bugs have been found.
One thing that got me on the 22.0 update was the change in the line tool. Not something I use at all at home, but I use it very regularly at work, and wasted over an hour figuring out how to work around the changes in behavior.

I wish I'd done that. My laptop had a much smaller hard drive (SSD) than my dead desktop so I'm trying not to fill it too much. Nothing I can do about it now.

works fine on my Mac - just wish they hadn't messed around with Bridge quite so much.
