I have to say I have barely gotten it out of the box, and I already LOVE it.

A big thanks to all who helped me decide.

Its like the difference between a 1980 Ford Escort and 2005 Ferarri (spelling?). I will never again miss that beautiful smile while waiting for the shutter!

Congrats... I know you will love it as I love mine.

Don't get caught like I did with submitting photos because you like the high quality and forget about the challenge! Couple of my lowest scores but nice shots lol

Welcome to Club Nikon D70... Good choice you made, the kit lens is great I wish i had the extra $$$s when i got my body only. but I have a good selection of glass now so it dont matter. thet shots you taken were excellent.

Oh yeh... dont forget to charge your battery every week or so...lol, that was my greatest shock. I went to Thailand for 4 days and didnt even need to charge it.. sometimes i forget it soo LOOOOOOOOOOOONG lasting..

Congratulations. I'm sure you will find it ver comfortable.

Not sure what supporting equipment that you already have, but here are a few ideas:
Nikkor 17-35 f/2.8 or 14mm f/2.8
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 or 1.4
Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 or 80-400VR or Sigma 50-500
Manfrotto 3021pro tripod
Manfrotto 488rc2 ball head with detachable plates
Spare battery (although almost never need it)
a couple of 256mb CF cards
Portable data storage device or laptop.
Professional quality camera bag
SB-600 or SB-800 speedlight
Battery charger and rechargeable batteries
