Do you ever shoot stuff and then say to yourself, "No... I can't enter that! What if it scores well and needs to be validated! Site Council will see how messy our house... yard... is!"?

No. I have more important things to worry about.

It's like when my mother in-law stops by. She'll complain about my running clothes, or rock climbing gear being out, or that I'm fixing my bike in the dining room. I always let her know where the door is after those comments.

ETA: Besides paying attention to your photo setup, a carefully-made selection and the Gaussian Blur filter can do wonders for your "decor" ...

I understand your problem. With me it is often a case of 'I can't shoot for that!'

Being confined to our homes doesn’t make it easy to take interesting and unidentifiable pictures. I’m fortunate to have a couple of willing subjects but I’m afraid they’re getting old:)

I would never say anything in another persons home unless they explicitly ask.

Nothing to do with your MIL, but did you ever read Rascal by Sterling North? Love that book . . . and that dad!
