I woke up with over 50 bites on my left side.
Nothing on my right side.

Hubby has made me change the sheets and wash everything else.

He's bug bombed the bedroom. (He wasn't there last night.)

I've put the pillows in the dryer on high for over an hour.

I think it was a mosquito.

He doesn't (obviously).

I thought you'd want to know.

*sigh*

*sigh again*

What do you think it was/is?

P.S. I put allergy cream on the bites. Feeling much less itchy now.

*sigh*

P.P.S. I know this is a photography site, but trust me... you don't want photos.

Your husband is quite passionate!

Well... we do have four offspring.
:)

I neglected to mention that he helped me change the sheets.

If you want medical information/advice (or even sympathy) it would really help to have more detailed information, such as:

-which side was "up" or were you on your back or stomach
-what part of the body are the on (more specifically than "side")
-size and character of the "bites" (e.g. color, any fluid in them)
-do they itch or "hurt"

I'm not a lawyer, but I am a licensed medical professional ... send a PM if you want more info ...

Damn! When I first read this I thought it was a challenge suggestion and I was wondering how that could be portrayed in an image. Glad I don't have to think about it in that regard. Sorry to hear it happened to you though. Yikes!

I came back from a campout a couple weeks ago with dozens of chigger bites. Wishing you a speedy, itch-free, recovery!

it would not be a mosquito. I'm from Minnesota. They're the state bird. One mosquito wouldn't accomplish that.

The obvious candidate would be bedbugs... Gawd help you if that's it :-(

Is it a series of red spots, sort of like a walking bug trail? If yes, the bedbugs are a possibility. We got them once on a trip to Darwin in Australia. Luckily it was hot summer back in Melbourne and we managed to fry them in the 42C heat (we washed everything and put into the scorching sun). But we were lucky, they are not easy to get rid off :(

Few months ago my husband had a trail of red spots on his forehead, we instantly thought bedbugs! We were wondering how to get rid of them and how to tell the owner of house about them. As it got worse after two days we went to a doctor assuming he will confirm it and we will have to do something about this. Well, it wasn't bedbugs, it was shingles. And the diagnosis came right on time to stop having a serious problem with my husband's eyes.

I don't want to frighten you, Lydia, but check it with a doctor to be sure that it is not one of the above.

That was also my concern -- the classic symptom is a rash on one side of the body, usually on the trunk, but I also had it on the head/eye.

... itching all over just from reading this !! :-).

Bed bugs sounds like a good option, even fleas perhaps?
