Holy cow -- I always did this by hand.
PAINFULLY
by hand.

You didn't ask!
ETA: When it works, it's a fantastic timesaver. It can and does fail in a subset of cases.

Wow, that looks good. I've still been using CS5 but I'm planning to download a trial version of CC on my new laptop to see if it can cope. I hope so because it seems like I'm missing out on some wonderful features.
Can someone tell me what other features I need to look out for?

Frankly there are quite a few differences, CS5 is pretty old now. Much of it is evolutionary, though, and the interface changes should not be too big a change. I definitely recommend updating to CC. I'm not normally a fan of subscription software, but frankly for the price, the Adobe Photography plan is one of the best deals running. |

Whoa dang!
Thank you, Wendy!
Obviously, no one else loves me. :D
I can't wait to try it after watching a video just now.

The subject selection is a lot better, imo.

I'll definitely try it out as soon as I have time. Just the ability to process RAW files without having to convert them to DNG first would be a big plus.
I just hope my laptop will cope with CC. |

use the lightroom classic, however, not the complete CC version. That is just a stripped down classic with some toys

and if you like the features and want to keep using it look out for specials, including on amazon as I recall, where you can purchase a 12 month membership for over 20% savings if you are interested. |
