Plus I think it should be a current name. For example, Alex's old username shouldn't be in the mix. Not sure if those (non-current prior names) show up in searches (member search page).

It's kinda hard to define "Current Name"... Do you mean, not a name that was previously used but changed, or a name that's been banned, or a name that's had its account closed, or a name that's not currently active? And if the latter is included, how far back do we go in defining "inactivity"? 'Cuz in a sense, what can be disappointing about this kind of challenge is that there are tens of thousands of inactive-but-present usernames and it's not hard to cherry-pick one for a picture you like...

For example, using Jake as an example ... if you search on his "old" username it doesn't show up. I think if the username shows up when you plug it in it should be fine to use.
