I don't usually get super hyped about a new piece of equipment, but I've been waiting for this moment for like 5 years. Can't wait to see what adventures this guy and I have together!

That's D-Lightful Alan!
I'm hanging tight, gonna look at mirrorless as my next investment...

Going mirrorless was a consideration, but the idea of having to buy a whole new fleet of lenses now that I already have Nikon's best glass... I'll go through one more DSLR :)

Yeh, the lens transition is a consideration... I should be able to use all of my current EF glass with the adapter, and just transition to RF glass very slowly and only where it makes sense. You have more of a case for "steady as she goes" with the sports photography end of things.

I bought the Z50 Alan and I really love it. I use the adaptor for the lenses I have and it works perfectly.
I cannot imagine that you will not be thrilled with it. Good luck!

Ok,You have had your D6 body for about two weeks. What is your feedback? Pros and cons? Is it worth going straight from the D4s to the D6 or adding a second D5 to the mix?

I've been on a pretty massive road trip since a couple days after I bought it, and my brother and my wife have been with me on the trip up until today. I have been shooting with it a bit, but I haven't wanted to slow the trip down to a point of annoying them... so I haven't been using it to its potential to any degree. I'm meeting up with an old DPC friend tomorrow, so if the weather is good I'll have some time to play with it a bit more seriously at Glacier National Park.

I never owned a D5 or other flagship camera, so it would be hard for me to suggest how it differs. I do love the built in wifi and Bluetooth though! And it's definitely a step up from my D800, which has been my workhorse since 2012!
