As I said, yes the painting is work in progress. This one is there for over 2 months now :D

I do one line and then walk away to take photographs for some DPC challenge and then when I am not submitting that is when I look at this painting :D

This was another simple execution, I was standing with the paint and brush and keep dipping in color to take shot until I get to see what I wanted.

In here, I wanted to keep the hand such a way that it doesn't cover my face but at the same time shows that I dipped in the color and taking it up to put it on canvas.

and yes primabarbara, so what happened was that the to take the shot, I actually picked up a brand new brush, just dipped the brush in the color and tried to use it. Since it was brand new so there were not much use or colors on there as such :)

Setup was:

1. A glass tube that had acrylic colors applied in random order but mostly use of brush flow from inside out, that is because when you are using brush and dip in color to remove all extra colors, you start from bottom and have brush flow up towards the tip of jar
2. Kept a color in a cup next to the glass tube so that when I am taking brush out, it feels like I am taking it out from the color jar
3. had camera pointing up towards the canvas, it was prefocused
4. Adjusted the aperture (f6.3) such that not much of background (tree) shows of as real sharp but they do show up

Now I ask my better half (yes she is way better in painting then I am) keep on clicking to take shot until get to see what I wanted to see

Done :)

simple!!

I love "KISS -- Keep It Simple Stupid" :D

here is the setup!
