Well, crap! Did it wipe out your files, or just your system and apps?

Like a phoenix, by hook or by crook your computer, regained or afresh, shall surely rise again. Good luck!

I did worse
Deleted ALL my original shots from the last 5 years (250,000 pictures)
trying to restore it but it will take 3 years of deep scan in my HDD
not entering anything from now on.

well all I can do is add programs as I need them off the web, I have uploaded Picasa
for its ease of uploading and use.I assume there are others.I had an early version of
Photoshop circa3 I think that was quite handy.

Well all I can say is be vigilent once they get into your photos, they may try for your wallet'

I am thinking of upgrading my PC and making a new start. my Sony Laptop is 10 or so and been upgraded and serviced regularly.

This is horrid, Nick. But I do admire your spirit.

Now go out there and make new photos!

I recently clicked on a link.. as soon as the page loaded sirens went off.. loud "BING BING BING".. it scared me and I clicked off immediately. Fortunately, nothing happened.. I attribute this to my Norton 360 LifeLock.
