Does anyone have any idea of lighting that will work with video (constant) AND with still (flash/strobe) photography?

I work for an aquarium and our budget is limited. The video guy and I have to share whatever lighting is purchased. His will be for good light when interviewing people. Mine is more for the animals, so a bright, constant light shining in their eyes isn't good. I need a flash/strobe for that.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Sounds like an opportunity for an inventive engineer ...

Perhaps there exists a power controller (timer with outlet) which can be set to a short-enough interval to flash the (presumably LED) constant lights on-and-off to work in your situation ... I've made "successful" multiple exposures turning an ordinary incandescent light on-and-off with a wall switch ...

My studio light (from many years back) contains a modelling light (incandescent bulb) combined with a flash. The modelling light is used to check the light distribution and shadows etc on the scene before the actual photograph is taken with the flash. The modelling light can be turned off/on so you can also work with flash only. The output of the modelling light is quite low, not sure whether it would be enough for video.

I assume nowadays the incandescent bulb is replaced by led light, with possibly a higher/brighter output? So maybe a small studio light (with portable power) could do for you? Best to ask in a specialised photography store.

What about some of the LED panels I have seen ads for? The appear to be bright enough and I expect they are not camera brand specific.Maybe something like this?

when you say "aquarium" do you mean to capture the shots of the water animals? or you want to use the lights for visitor photography? if visitor photography then I would say use AD200 with a softbox. This AD200 would be sufficient to cover up a decent area to lit.

I have a set of these though I am ashamed to say I have not used them much. They do look fantastic and come with nice bags to store them in. They appear to be well made and give off a good light. Feel free to ask me any questions.

[Edited to fix typo]
