... to believable? I rarely combine elements between images and don't have much practice. Didn't get any comments on this entry for the Best Of 2019 Extended challenge. So, was I even close on inserting the loon, or did I butcher it? I've developed pretty thick skin over the years here so don't worry about hurting my feelings. Thanks in advance!

I didn't enter or vote in that challenge, but I don' think I would have realized that was an added element. I think you fell victim to something voiced in another thread, that some people expect extended editing to be obvious and over the top photoshopping. I've done that but also done things that were not obvious but just illegal in normal challenges.

The actual loon is extremely believable!

The shadow/reflection needed a bit of a twist, in my opinion, to make it as believable.

Look at the angle of the sun to the bird. The shadow would have been skewed, I think.

Still a lovely scene, for sure!

I agree. I also thought that I should have angled the shadow some, but I was tired of messing with it. :-} Probably a reason I don't do much in Extended (not enough patience!). Thanks for the feedback.
