Wow! That’s pretty bad... 49 entries and only 39 people voted and there’s only 7 hours to go. Come on folks, what’s the problem?

Ten people don't feel like voting, so what's the problem?

I smell a score that doesn't want to be exposed to last minute voters! :-)

ETA - Don't worry, I voted earlier in the week. LOL

I left it in Facebook. ;-)

I can't vote anyway until I re-register.

I have the same stats :) but I should have kept my mouth shut about those people who hadn’t voted as since I posted that 4 people have voted and dropped my score by a whole 0.15 points:(

I detect a very unpleasant and antagonistic tone in your message. The problem is that we need people to vote to keep this site interesting and challenging for all so we can grow our numbers back to what they were years ago......when there is a challenge where there are more participants then voters that gives cause to worry.

[quote=digifotojo] Hey.. be sure and vote on that challenge too ;) More good news for you digifotojo.....at 44 votes now and my score has now dropped by 0.24 points since I started this thread. As my entry is quite easily identifiable by most here I think I might be being punished for having started this thread :) That will teach me hey :)

I might not want any more votes. I was over a 6.5 for the first few days but later voters have not liked it much.

Similar story here except my score was pretty constant in a strong 6.6 score range for most of the voting period until I started this thread. Since then it’s just been going down. Approaching 6.3 something now. Oh well, still not too bad I guess :) As long as it stays above 6 I will be happy

I always vote on the extended challenges,I find a lot of hard yakka goes into the images and the authors should be supported in their photos

The important thing is to encourage voters, especially if they participated. What they decide to do with that power is up to them but his wouldn’t be a challenge without their participation.

I agree. I simply do not understand people who say they cannot vote in challenges they have entered because they can't be fair. I honestly do not even think of my entry as I am voting and I certainly don't think of what the current score (or the scoring trend) on it is.

Catch-22. I saw this thread and decided to go vote. But I cannot because I'm not a paid member (at this time).

Decided to enter one of the open challenges to wet my feet again in the DPC pool, but not feeling things have improved all that much since I was a regular. Fewer entries. Fewer votes. So not sure I want to re-up as a member either.

I think social media has hurt sites like this as photographers now get instant feedback and gratification there instead of putting themselves to the test in these arena.

The instant gratification should be the update button.

Used to be. But with the low number of participants/voters, even the one-hour wait for unpaid members yields no change most hours. :(

Pressing a button over and over expecting a different result, isn't that the definition of insanity? :)

You're only insane when you can't "catch" the update button!!! ... anybody remember seeing that? :-)
