Not sure if it was much better, but i did have this one in also, before I changed my mind and entered this one . I think I made the right choice.

I'd have had a hard time choosing with your entry and outtake. They're so different but they're both beautiful.

Sorry, but I'm going to be the odd one out here ... I like the outtake MUCH better with the eye contact and the "attitude". I gave your entry a 6, the outtake, for me, would have been a 7, maybe an 8.

It was the eye contact that caused my uncertainty, but something about the camera angle felt awkward. I guess there will always be differences of opinion - even with shots that win ribbons.
