I am wondering if any Lightroom Guru's might to able to assist.
For some reason (obviously my own doing) I have 9,000 images under the same label. I tried to get smart a couple of years ago importing a batch of photos under the same label ("Colour Run" ). Ultimately it put most images under the same label/preset. I am trying to undo this. But with no success. I can do one at a time but with 9,000 - it is a bit of a task. When I select "all" - it only applies to one image. I am trying to get a handle on the labelling/ presets aspect of Lightroom - to make it easier for searching but this has ended up a nightmare.
Any suggestions?

When you say labeling, are you referring to keywords?

Edit to add: If so, in order to change keywords on a number of images at once, select them in the grid view. Otherwise, the deletion will occur only on the active photo.

Below the Keyword tabs.
In the "Metadata" drop down - here is a "Label" (just under "rating").

I've never used it. It's also in the right panel of the library frame in the Metadata section. When I clicked on it the metadata section loaded with the color tags (which I used early on and abandoned) and then a "No Label" for most everything else.

I have no idea how to clear it but I suspect that when you put that in your import dialogue it's been there ever since because you never cleared it. Keywords are much easier.
