I find it quite unfair that they get another challenge... I feel like I am an underrated photographer on this site, and that there should be a challenge for the non ribbon winning folks of the site. We just had a masters challenge, now another one so soon? I for one am not happy about that.

Why is it unfair? Has anything been taken away from you?

I am mad because impressionism was something I suggested and now I can't participate!

Man.. how do you think I feel.. I just win ribbon #2, and they up the entry fee to 3 ribbons.

I'm contacting my Congressman!!!!!

(oh wait, I'm Canadian.)

There's nothing to say there won't be an Impressionism II.

The chance to participate in an additional challenge. I dont mind the master challenge, just give us "non winners" a chance at winning something. Be fair to everyone, not just rewarding those who have won all ready.

Yeah, how about a non-ribbon winners challenge? They should have done that for the Team Sports Challenge. I would have finished in second:) Damn you all Masters!!!! JK

I voted for a 'Losers Challenge' too, but guess not. Nothing has been taken away from us, but sure as heck nothing has been givin to use either. Lets chase the 'little guys' away by only honoring the pros with special challenges. I think the little guys should get more challenges too. After all, it IS us who need the learning experience. What to the pros have left to learn? Are the benefiting from those challenges? Or are we just giving them another chance to show off and brag.
Don't get me wrong, they deserve it, but I don't think it benefits anyone really.

I have no problem with it. They earned it. They get it.

Think of any professional sport, you have to be good enough before they will let you compete. Think that's unfair to anyone in the minor leagues? They don't seem to think so. They understand they have to earn the privelege of being able to compete with the 'best'.

: After reading the preceding message, just wanted to add that those in the minors are able to compete with their peers, in the minors. So if we followed my analogy a non-winner's challenge would make sense.

I'm sorry, I may be blind, but where does it say that you have to have 3 ribbons to enter? Oh wait, I saw it. Sorry.

Can I get a refund?

I became a member to participate fully in the happenings here. Free studies for the masters is one thing, but challenge-like competitions infringes quite a bit.

Don't say "it's an extra, you're not getting any less service". I don't want to hear that. The fact that I can't participate makes me feel less of a member.

Yeah but in pro sports you don't pay to play.

If there are going to be more challenges for ribbon winners, shouldn't they have to pay more?? Shouldn't everyone get the same value for the same money??

I like the idea of a non-ribbon winners challenge. 'Losers challenge' is the wrong term for sure, but there are so many really great photographers who haven't won a ribbon, often because they do their own thing and don't care enough about any kind of DPC formula to win a ribbon. It would be fun to have a challenge that includes, at least, these folks.

Would you want to participate in a loser's challenge. What if you win, so what? Would you really want to be the best of the worst?

"Hey! WOW! Looky! If we get rid of all the best photographers on this site, I kick ass! WHOOOO HOOOO!"
