Ha, I've lived through one PERESTROIKA and survived, looking forward to another one! Thank you, Langdon, as without the home you've created for us I would not become a photographer I am today. And thank you Mitalapo for taking up the baton. Good luck!

And yay to Langdon for doing his next thing well!! I'm excited to see what Langdon and Mita do in the future.

I'm excited for us all!!

WoW! What great news! Many thanks to Langdon for creating a site where learning is cherished. I remember how un-learned I was when I signed up here. So great to hear the site will continue to grow under the care of Mita! And also, a huge thanks to Robert for keeping things together here with his level headed super talents.

Very encouraging news. Thank you Langdon and Bear, and best of luck to our gentle and adept Mita as he enters the realm of the helm!

One of the hardest things I've had to keep to myself as SC. We've known for a while.

I think we should have an extended challenge for Langdon. Create an image of how Langdon's baby (DPC in case that wasn't clear) has changed your life.

Wow this is very good news! Thank you Langdon for handing over the reins to Mitalapo

I am really looking forward to seeing how the site transforms over the coming months/years.

Just echoing everyone's posts: Thank you langdon, I may not always be present on this site, but I keep coming back - like an addict :-). This is a truly special site. There are so many helpful people here who's knowledge is just mind blowing.

Good luck to mitalapo. I know everyone wants "something new" - hope you can "please everyone" :-)))

Looking forward to many more happy DPC years.

Add me to that list of grateful people, Langdon. Everything good about me as a photog......you're complicit!

Mitalapo, you've got your work cut out for you, but I'm sure that the many of us around who know you are optimistic.

I look forward to many more years of DPC!

Checking in to see what I’ve missed…. Wow!

Langdon, thanks for creating this space to post, score and critique photographs. Whether grand or minute, clear or vague, a place to share our unique vision. Beyond the sharing, learning, and competition that has attracted so many, DPC is an invaluable creative outlet.

Robert, your selfless dedication to DPC is appreciated by all. Without your passion and commitment DPC might not exist at all.

Mita, congratulations on your new endeavor! Wishing you success in implementing your vision for our collective future.

Photo news:
The Oscars go to: Langdon mitalapo and Bear_music

Long applause.

There are pertinent, nagging questions now:
- will Langdon post pics from now on?
- will mitalapo have time to participate or comment in challenges? If not his images and fine words will be sorely missed

I hope that our Bear will sort this out in his unique way.

Floundering or not on occasion, this site is still the best, going way further than attaching little hearts, check marks or "likes".

Looking forward

Haven't been on much lately but will keep a close eye on any changes that come up with Mitalapo taking the wheel.

Although I've been a critic of Langdon (only about lack of change) I do have a ton of respect for the guy! He's put together a site that I can't seem to forget about for the last 10+ years... That alone warrants an applause. Thanks Langdon!!!

Here's to hoping the transition is smooth and positive all the way around! *raises glass*

I already see one bug fix. Mysterious single quotes that were appearing around thumbs and user icons are now gone. It's a good sign!

Thank you Langdon, Bear and Mita.

Thank Langdon for that one :-) He's sweeping up before the new tenants move in!

Yeah....

What he said. I do believe that there are a few of us left who would very much be on board if there's anything we could do as longtime friends of DPC.

I expect there will be a (near) future need in the area of social media but we don't have specifics quite yet.

I am looking for a small group of people with web development experience as developers, designers or product managers to consult with. If you are one and willing to participate, please PM me.

I don't have experience in those areas, but if you need a photographer, I know where to find a few. ;)

I used to do Web design years ago (more as a hobby than a job) but have not done it for quite some time so I am not up-to-date with the latest technologies and approach. If it helps, I could give some feedback on design, let me know.
