What�s a Pet Panorama, please?

Will you show me examples that fit our Standard Editing ruleset, please?

I don't have any examples (yet), but my understanding is that it's like any other panorama under the Standard rules, with the exception being that your "subject" can appear in more than one location, making it a non-static scene or modified/limited time-lapse.

I think of it as similar to one of those composites showing a BMX rider or freestyle skier going off a jump, showing the sequence of twists and tumbles, only with a "pet" as the subject ...

If that's not the definition I'm in trouble too ... :-)

Oh, I thought it involved the panorama setting on a camera where you pan the camera around over a very wide area. That causes strange deformities if the animal moves while you shoot. Weren't there some links to those a little while ago?

I almost thought about entering one in this challenge. I have a pet, I am entertained by the distortions that are possible using the Panorama setting on my camera. It never occurred to me that the everybody-knows Rules might mean a multi shot time-lapse composite, involving a tripod, some extra lighting to avoid action-blur, & a professional animal model. That just sucked the fun right out of it, for me. Oh, pooh. I already have many Brown Ribbons.

Here's a couple. Other distortions are possible. Multi-shot time lapse composites are not allowed in Standard Editing. Certainly, the IDEA was to pan the camera on a moving animal. I Soetimes hate how challenges seem to become an outlet for people to find a way to spoof the description :-(

It never even occurred to me to use my regular camera. The phone has a handy panorama setting which does the job. I don't know how I would get the distortion panning... maybe if I was panning in the opposite direction from the one the animal was moving in? I'll stick with the phone, I think.
